Privacy Policy
Your data stays on your device. We don't sell your data. Simple.

1. Introduction
At Bouncer: Website Blocker, we believe your attention is valuable—and your privacy should be too. This Privacy Policy explains how Bouncer ("Company", "we", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our browser extension and related services (collectively, "Product").
By installing or using Bouncer, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Product.
2. What We Collect
The short answer: almost nothing personal.
Bouncer is designed with privacy as a core principle. Here's what stays on your device:
- Blocklist data — The websites you choose to block are stored locally in your browser. We never see them.
- Settings & preferences — Your custom schedules, focus modes, and configuration options remain on your device.
- Usage statistics — Your personal stats (blocks, time saved, streaks) are stored locally. No servers involved.
We also collect anonymous, non-personal usage data to improve Bouncer. See Section 6: Analytics for details.
3. Purchases & Payments
Bouncer is free to use. If you upgrade to Bouncer Pro, here's how payments work:
- Payment processing — Payments are handled by ExtensionPay, a third-party payment provider. They process all payments directly through Stripe.
- What we collect — If you purchase Pro, we only receive your email address for license verification. We never see your credit card information.
4. Data Storage
All your data—blocklists, settings, statistics—lives on your device. It never leaves your device. If you uninstall Bouncer or clear your browser data, your settings are deleted.
Your data is yours, and it stays where it should be: on your machine.
5. Third-Party Services
Bouncer uses the following third-party services:
- Payment processors — ExtensionPay handles all payments. Their privacy policies apply to payment data.
- Browser extension stores — Chrome Web Store distribute Bouncer. They may collect their own analytics per their policies.
6. Analytics
Bouncer collects anonymous usage data to improve the product. This includes which features you use, how often sites are blocked, and general interaction patterns.
We never collect:
- The websites you visit or block
- Your browsing history
All data is tied to a random, anonymous ID — not your account or identity. You can't be identified from it. This data helps us understand which features matter most so we can make Bouncer better for everyone.
7. Children's Privacy
Bouncer is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we'll delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll post the new policy here and update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of Bouncer after any changes means you accept the new policy.
9. Your Rights
Under this policy, you have:
- Complete control — Your data never leaves your device unless you choose to export it.
- Right to deletion — Uninstall Bouncer to remove all local data. There's nothing to delete on our servers because nothing was there.
- Right to access — All your data is visible in your browser's extension settings. No special request needed.
